Visiting...

I was staying at a friend's house. Throughout the dream the identity of the friend kept changing.

In the observing part of the dream there were women of three generations milling about between bedrooms. It turned out that there were pregnancy tests all over the place and that they were all pregnant.

In the participating part of the dream, I had to go to the local shop and buy lots of things. I didn't have a basket and was trying to carry too much in my arms. I kept dropping it all and I was getting very frustrated. I was aware I had to hurry but couldn't find washing liquid so I was going nuts with the stress of it all.

In the end I had to queue for ages and then found I didn't have money with me anyway.

Someone upstairs in the shop suddenly choked and a few people ran up and administered first aid and saved the person. For some reason people were thanking me even though I hadn't done anything.  They seemed to think all the people that helped were working for me?!

I went back to my friend's who offered me an egg custard to cheer me up, which I thought was lovely, but then she told me it was out of date and was too stodgy for her anyway.  It somehow didn't seem so nice then and didn't cheer me up at all :-/

It turned out it was her birthday the next day.

She was feeling fed up and decided to open the present from her boyfriend, even though he had asked her to wait.  The present was in a bowl (like a large round cereal bowl), with brown paper just laid over the top.

As she opened and start to look through it, there were a few chocolate bars and a pink fluffy decorative identity badge holder which doubled up as earrings. Just for the split second that I could see them as earrings, the friend turned into my husband and I had a clear image of him wearing the earrings and looking ridiculous!

The friend became a female friend once again.  She stared at the contents of the bowl, looked decidedly unimpressed and put it all down just staring at it and looking fed up and a little upset.

I felt bad for her and decided to give her money for her birthday. I went delving into my bag and found a chequebook and a load of acorns and loose tutti frutti sweets, but no bank card. I kept searching but couldn't find it.

While I was looking however I found the blipfoto website in my bag and noticed I had 59 comments and 59 stars for one of my photos.

I was so shocked and excited that I woke up!

Riddles...

There was a shop which was both a shoe shop and a sweet shop but actually sold neither.  It was halfway down a hill and through the shop was the only way down if you wanted to continue with your journey and get to the rest of the world.

To get through you had to buy a sandwich from them, but you had to correctly identify the appropriate sandwich filling which they had selected for you based on your personality and lifestyle.  I correctly identified 'slippery cheese' (?) but then had to solve a series of riddles too.

To make it harder they didn't tell you what the riddles were, they just let you wander off and expected you to come back with answers.

I wandered about and collected answers by recording them on my phone, either audio, video or photo.   I got the answers by doing various things.

Firstly, I went to the top of the hill and slid down again on my sandwich.

Then, I was at a garden party where there were a number of children. They al had drinks but some of them were upside-down.  I turned the drinks the right way up and refilled them with cherryade.  I gave one little girl a glass of ice cubes.

Some tourists asked me for help identifying baby birds.  There were loads of them around, but some of them were not completely one type of bird.  I identified a half bullfinch, half robin bird and then the people all disappeared.

I was then inside at something like an 'evening do' at a wedding.  I was by a control panel with lots of coloured buttons that lit up if you touched them.  Someone shouted they were doing a sound check and as each speaker in the room made a brief noise, I had to hit the corresponding button.  I wasn't fast enough so the music came on so loud it felt like my ears were bleeding and I could only get out if I danced to a whole song.

Once outside I was stood on the steps of a stately home and I saw a horse and cart draw up with a documentary in the back.  It was about Prince William and Kate Middleton.  In the documentary, it was saying that William had met Kate in Sixth form but the royal family hadn't approved so he had to dump her and marry Princess Diana!  In my dream this didn't seem odd at all!  But then, he had stood up to them and said he didn't like Diana because she looked like a doughnut and was back with Kate.  As I watched the documentary I remember thinking that all three people in it were actually Kate Middleton anyway which made it boring to watch and hard to follow so I wandered off.

Think before you buy!

I was in a shop in Cardiff that used to be a big department store (David Morgan). It was sad looking now. Mostly empty, with old discarded rails and broken shop dummies lying around. Everything was tatty, faded and dusty.

In one part of the shop however, a family had set themselves up selling furniture and I was there looking around. I chose a purple three piece suite and I could tell they were delighted to make the sale.

I somehow managed to get the furniture into a van and drive it home. When I got home I went into a house that in the dream I knew was my home but in reality it was nothing like it.

I realised as soon as I went in that I already had a three piece suite and furthermore, purple clashed horribly with the decor of the room.

There were lots of people living in the house I think they were all family. No one else seemed too bothered but when I realised how stupid I'd been I became inconsolable and was sobbing and apologising and chastising myself.

My husband tried to comfort me and said the colours were fine and that we'd find room but I wanted to take them back. First of all I wanted someone else to sort it out but then I decided I had to do it. I was dreading it.

I went back and explained. There were about 3 or 4 men there and they were fine about it. Somehow my old suite was now in their shop as part of a part exchange deal and was dismantled, so they said they'd put that back together, give me £185 part exchange and no harm done (?!)

The only woman there was giving me evil looks so I started an argument by asking what her problem was. She stormed over to me and threatened to go to the daily mail with the story of how I'd changed my mind so I was very sarcastic to her and she went away sulking.

One of the men was hungry so I made him a bowl of cereals but he said I had strange milk and put the bowl into an airing cupboard. I noticed there was an old lady with an umbrella up in there.

My old suite was now ready to go but I realised I didn't have transport so a friend (AMT) showed me her muscles and said she'd carry everything. All the same I rang my sister to borrow my dad's van.

As I waited in an empty part of the shop, looking out on to open countryside, I noticed a chicken picking up engagement rings with its beak. The girl that I'd argued with was following to collect the rings.

She saw that I'd witnessed her scam so offered me a duck with a fringe to buy my silence.
